Vada Seccareccia^{ASSOC. AIA, LFA}

Elevating the mission and quality of Union’s work as a thoughtful and creative leader in the firm’s culture and operations

Vada brings a unique skill set to her position as Director of Technology & Innovation. Combining her years of design experience with her background in science and technology, she improves the quality and effectiveness of Union’s internal processes while overseeing our technology strategy and implementation.

Focused on the firm’s strategic objectives, Vada develops and leads office-wide change initiatives and works with projects teams to analyze metrics and help them reach their goals. She manages and coordinates all firm-wide information systems and ensures that our technology infrastructure supports daily operations while also looking around the corner at new technology and practices to improve our workflows.

She is a trusted leader in and out of the office who continually raises the cultural awareness of the profession, and she has been instrumental in the United in Design scholarship and in Union’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and holistic sustainability initiatives.

Vada is currently president of the AIA Rhode Island Architectural Forum, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to students pursuing degrees in architecture. She is a past president of the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and past president of the AIA New England Regional Council.

Vada holds a Master of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Bryn Mawr College.
