Our staff members are all committed students of the accumulated wisdom of history as it is expressed in traditional architecture and urban design. Our passion for building strong communities starts here in our studio, among our friends and colleagues.
Joel joined Union Studio in Summer 2014 after receiving Master of Architecture and a Master of Architectural Design and Urbanism degrees from Notre Dame University. Prior to attending Notre Dame, he received a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Mathematics and Philosophy from Houghton College.
He has interned with Voith & Mactavish Architects in Philadelphia, David M. Schwarz Architects in Washington, DC, the Mayor’s Office of Strategic Planning in Buffalo, and The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment in London.
At Union Studio, Joel applies his institutional, residential, historic restoration, and urban design experience to a variety of new projects.
