Earlier this month, Union Principal & Director of Affordable Housing, Paul Attemann and Associate Principal, Kevin Beaulieu were among the developers, policymakers, and housing advocates that came together to discuss the future of affordable housing in Massachusetts and beyond at Bisnow’s Boston Affordable Housing Conference.

Throughout the event, a clear message emerged: advancing affordable housing in today’s environment will take unprecedented levels of collaboration, innovation, and resourcefulness. Developers and community leaders are being called to work together more closely to navigate funding gaps, rethink financing strategies, and find new ways to deliver housing that remains attainable and sustainable.

“It was impressive to see and hear from the caliber of committed individuals, organizations and companies that work so hard to improve the lives of others.”

— Paul Attemann, Principal & Director of Affordable Housing

Union is deeply invested in the future of affordable housing and the insights we gained from this conference reaffirm the importance of staying engaged with the evolving landscape of funding and policy. Now more than ever, collaboration — across sectors, disciplines, and communities is essential to ensuring that affordable housing projects not only move forward, but that they remain an integral part of healthy, thriving communities.
