Sustainable, affordable housing for Middletown’s seniors.
West House II is a three-story development in Middletown, Rhode Island, providing 54 new affordable rental units for residents aged 55 and older. Designed to Passive House standards, it emphasizes energy efficiency and sustainability while offering shared amenities with the adjacent West House I, including a chapel, library, fitness rooms, and more.
A collaborative effort between Union Studio Architecture & Community Design, Church Community Housing Corporation (CCHC), and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), the project follows Rhode Island Housing standards to address the community’s growing need for quality senior housing in the region.
