Recognition is growing for The Landing at East Point—Rhode Island’s first affordable housing development designed specifically for LGBTQ+ seniors. Recently featured in the Boston Globe and GoMag, this ~$18 million project represents a commitment to creating spaces where an often-overlooked community can age with safety, dignity, and belonging.

Thirty-nine units. Four stories. A 1.15-acre campus of  light and airy apartments is designed with both outdoor and indoor community spaces—a front porch, shared kitchen, reading rooms, raised gardens—create the conditions for connection. The Landing at East Point addresses what matters most for seniors—connection, dignity, and choice.

The Landing stands as Rhode Island’s first affordable housing development specifically designed with the LGBTQ+ senior community in mind. We are honored to bring this vision to life alongside Aldersbridge Communities.

“LGBTQIA+ seniors often face discrimination and isolation in senior housing, and we hope that The Landing at East Point will be the home of a thriving community of LGBTQIA+ seniors and allies in the first project of it’s kind in Rhode Island.”
