Union to Deliver Opening Remarks at 2026 Boston Affordable Housing Summit

🔗 2026 Boston Affordable Housing Summit

Union will open Bisnow’s 2026 Boston Affordable Housing Conference on March 18, joining public officials, developers, funders, and designers for a day of critical conversation about the future of housing in Greater Boston.

The region stands at an inflection point. The $5.1 billion Affordable Homes Act has created new momentum, MassHousing is rolling out expanded programs, and communities across the Commonwealth are rethinking zoning and permitting to unlock development. At the same time, the challenges are as real as ever: rising costs, climate imperatives, workforce constraints, and the persistent gap between housing need and housing supply.

This year’s conference will dig into these tensions, with sessions addressing equity, resilience, low-carbon construction, and the practical realities of getting projects built. It’s a forum for honest exchange about what’s working, what isn’t, and what comes next.

Union’s participation reflects years of work in affordable and mixed-income housing across the region. We’ve seen firsthand how good design can stretch budgets, how early collaboration shapes outcomes, and how the best projects emerge when teams share what they’ve learned. The conference offers a chance to bring those lessons into broader conversation and to learn from others navigating the same pressures.

We look forward to joining colleagues and partners on March 18!
