Friends of the Tanner House and the Free Library of Philadelphia will host the For Love to Thrive Black Cultural Heritage Fair & Celebration on Saturday, February 21, 2026. The free public event will take place from 12 to 4 p.m. in the lobby of Parkway Central Library.

Set during the year of the nation’s 250th anniversary, the fair will bring together African American heritage sites, allied organizations, and community members from across the Greater Philadelphia region. The event aims to expand public access to cultural resources, support networking among organizations, and share pathways for volunteering and careers in heritage work for both youth and elders.

The fair is closely tied to the ongoing Tanner House redevelopment, a Union project focused on preserving Black history and supporting long-term community use. Live performances will be part of the program, with more details to be announced.
