Rhode Island Minorities in Architecture & Design (RIMiAD) is seeking mentors and mentees for its 2026 Mentorship Program. January is National Mentoring Month, and the program builds on the success of last year’s cohort, which paired mentors and mentees across a range of design fields and experience levels.
Union has been closely involved with RIMiAD since the organization launched in 2023. Members of our team have served on RIMiAD’s core team, volunteered in support roles, participated in the mentorship program, and the firm has sponsored several RIMiAD meetups and mixers. This work reflects a shared commitment to supporting equity, access, and professional growth within the design community.
The 2026 mentorship program will run for six months, with mentors and mentees meeting at least four times, either in person or virtually. Two in-person mixers will bring the full cohort together. Applications are open through Sunday, February 8, 2026.
Designers and those working in design-adjacent fields are also encouraged to attend RIMiAD’s bi-monthly meetups to connect with peers and engage with the local design community. For more information and to stay up to date on events, follow RIMiAD on Instagram.
