Veridian at County Farm Featured in The Wall Street Journal

We’re proud to see Veridian at County Farm featured in The Wall Street Journal’s Sustainable Business section, highlighting how communities can lead the way toward a more resilient, climate-conscious future.

Designed by Union Studio Architecture & Community Design, Veridian transforms a former county youth prison site in Ann Arbor, Michigan, into a 14-acre all-electric neighborhood of 170 mixed-income homes. The development is powered by solar energy, geothermal systems, and battery storage—proof that sustainability and livability can coexist beautifully.

The article explores Veridian’s role as a national model for sustainable community design, where walkability, front-porch living, and zero-fossil-fuel homes come together to redefine what “everyday sustainability” can look like.
