“It is well documented that our region is in short supply of housing options based on current demand. As developers, our goal is to create solutions to the regional housing needs, but to do so in a way that is reflective and respectful of the host community.”  —Rechler Equity Partners

The latest vision for South Bay Village—a walkable, mixed-income residential development of the former Island Hills property in Sayville, New York was recently unveiled to the community. Designed by Union, the plan reflects years of public input and thoughtful refinement as it balances age-restricted housing, rental and for-sale homes, and green open space. “South Bay Village is now moving into the formal approvals process—marking a major milestone in a long-term collaboration between the client, the design team, and the local community” said Union principal Jeremy Lake.
