Division Road Development Highlighted in East Greenwich News

Our design for the Division Road development in East Greenwich has been highlighted in East Greenwich News, reflecting a thoughtful approach to balancing community growth with inclusivity and livability.

We’re excited to share an update on the Division Road development in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, now moving forward following a recently resolved dispute between the Town of East Greenwich and developer Ned Capozzi.

The project, originally denied by the East Greenwich Planning Board, gained approval after the State Housing Appeals Board (SHAB) sided with the developer. This decision clears the way for the 410-unit residential development, which includes 50% of units reserved for residents aged 55 and older.

While this marks a significant milestone, the project has also prompted community discussions about its potential impact on traffic, schools, and the environment. These important considerations have informed the design and planning process, ensuring a thoughtful approach that balances growth with livability.

At Union, we’re proud to contribute to a development that prioritizes inclusivity, green spaces, and a pedestrian-friendly layout, all while honoring the charm of East Greenwich.
