Affordable housing remains one of the most challenging sectors in architectural design and a critical societal need across the United States. However, the design of place-based, dignified, affordable housing in walkable neighborhoods is in short supply. Public agencies, policymakers, institutions, developers, architects, and planners are making strides in addressing this deficiency.
This session of the Case Studies series explores the work of Union Studio Architecture & Community Design. The program begins with an overview of the context surrounding affordable housing, followed by a presentation of Union’s work in this field.
