This revitalization represents a significant step in transforming “downcity” Providence, Rhode Island, through the restoration and adaptive reuse of historic department stores and office buildings. The project includes the nine-story Beaux Arts Lapham Building, the two-story Art Deco Wit Building, and the five-story Neo-Classical Trayne Building, which features a new four-story addition. Together, these buildings now offer 55 downtown apartments, 16,000 square feet of commercial and restaurant space, and 9,000 square feet of office space.
